As a Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control. You will work closely with the General Manager and department heads to ensure financial efficiency and profitability while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including Profit & Loss (P&L), Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow statements
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policies
  • Conduct detailed P&L reviews with department heads to analyze variances between actual results and budgets
  • Monitor key hospitality metrics such as RevPAR, ADR, and TrevPAR
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions

2. Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Lead the annual budgeting process in collaboration with the General Manager and department leaders
  • Develop realistic financial plans aligned with business objectives
  • Provide weekly and monthly rolling forecasts based on occupancy trends and revenue performance
  • Analyze market trends and demand patterns to support pricing strategies
  • Assist the revenue management team in optimizing profitability

3. Cost Control & Compliance

  • Monitor operational costs including food, beverage, and procurement expenses
  • Conduct regular audits to identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Ensure strict adherence to tax laws, financial regulations, and company SOPs
  • Maintain transparency and accountability in all financial transactions
  • Prepare reports for internal and external audits

4. Cash Management & Internal Audit

  • Supervise Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and General Ledger (GL) processes
  • Ensure timely invoicing, collections, and vendor payments
  • Maintain healthy cash flow and working capital management
  • Implement internal controls to prevent financial discrepancies
  • Support internal audits and ensure compliance with financial policies

5. Strategic Financial Support

  • Provide financial insights to support operational and strategic decisions
  • Work closely with department heads to improve efficiency and profitability
  • Identify areas for revenue growth and cost optimization
  • Contribute to long-term financial planning and business development

Qualifications & Skills

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Professional certifications (CA, CMA, or equivalent) are an added advantage

Experience

  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in accounting or finance
  • At least 2 years in a leadership role within the hospitality industry
  • Experience in hotel finance operations is a strong advantage

Skills Required

  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Familiarity with hospitality financial metrics (RevPAR, ADR, TrevPAR)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Proficiency in accounting software, MS Office, and financial systems
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
