Job Summary
The Hygiene Associate supports hotel hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards, ensuring compliance with health regulations and brand guidelines. The role contributes to seamless Food & Beverage operations by maintaining cleanliness, training teams, coordinating vendors, and safeguarding a healthy work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly hygiene reports to relevant leadership.
- Ensure staff maintain proper grooming, cleanliness, and work conduct.
- Conduct hygiene, safety, and chemical-handling training in coordination with Training Managers and suppliers.
- Identify non-usable or damaged equipment and report breakage while maintaining par levels.
- Ensure adherence to local health, sanitation, food safety, and HACCP standards.
- Coordinate vendor/service contracts such as waste disposal, chemical suppliers, pest control, and night cleaning teams.
- Oversee proper sorting, handling, and disposal of F&B waste across all outlets.
- Schedule and monitor weekly kitchen deep-cleaning with Culinary and Engineering teams.
- Support F&B and Banquet teams with special event, promotion, festival, and VIP setup requirements.
- Maintain the hygiene communication logbook, notice boards, and departmental updates.
- Promote a safe, organized, and hazard-free working environment.
- Assist in training stewarding staff and casual workers on hygiene protocols.
- Submit monthly department status reports to the Executive Sous Chef.
Qualifications & Skills
- Post-secondary education or relevant qualification in Hotel/Hospitality Management.
- Knowledge of hygiene standards, sanitation procedures, and food safety regulations.
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to train and guide operational staff.
- Attention to detail with a proactive, safety-first mindset.
