Job Summary

The General Manager is responsible for providing strategic vision, operational direction, and strong leadership to every department within the hotel. You will act as the custodian of The LaLiT brand in New Delhi, upholding its values, delivering luxury guest experiences, and achieving business goals. Success in this role requires balancing commercial performance with guest-centricity, innovation with operational discipline, and team empowerment with strong governance.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Provide visionary leadership to all hotel departments and ensure alignment with The LaLiT’s brand values, mission, and long-term objectives.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans that enhance market positioning, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Champion new initiatives that elevate the hotel’s competitive advantage in the luxury hospitality segment.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee overall hotel operations across Rooms, F&B, Banquets, Spa, Culinary, Engineering, Sales & Marketing, Finance, and HR.
  • Ensure seamless coordination between departments to deliver consistency in service quality and daily operations.
  • Implement and monitor brand SOPs, quality standards, and safety protocols to maintain operational excellence at all touchpoints.

Revenue Management & Commercial Performance

  • Drive revenue growth through innovative business strategies, strong yield management, and targeted sales initiatives.
  • Review financial statements, set budgets, manage forecasts, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Optimize profitability through cost-control measures, resource planning, and efficiency-driven decision-making.

Guest Experience & Brand Standards

  • Uphold The LaLiT’s legacy of warm hospitality and impeccable service standards.
  • Lead efforts to enhance guest satisfaction, loyalty, and personalized experiences.
  • Oversee the handling of guest concerns, ensuring timely and effective resolution, especially for VIP and high-profile guests.
  • Maintain exceptional standards in hygiene, safety, and service delivery.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Inspire, mentor, and empower department heads and teams to achieve excellence.
  • Foster a culture built on accountability, respect, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Implement structured learning programs, leadership development, and succession planning to strengthen the talent pipeline.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and establish measurable KRAs/KPIs.

Stakeholder & External Relations

  • Represent the property in interactions with corporate leadership, owners, government authorities, vendors, media partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Build strong community relationships and uphold the hotel’s reputation as a hospitality leader in the region.

Compliance, Safety & Sustainability

  • Ensure adherence to all statutory, legal, and hotel policy requirements, including safety, hygiene, fire regulations, and environmental standards.
  • Promote sustainability initiatives and resource-efficient practices in alignment with group policies.
  • Oversee audits, certifications, and compliance documents with accuracy and integrity.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 22+ years of progressive experience in luxury hospitality.
  • 2–5 years as a General Manager/Unit Head of a large luxury hotel (400+ keys mandatory).
  • Background in Front Office, F&B, or Sales & Marketing preferred.
  • Graduate/Diploma in Hotel Management; MBA is an added advantage.
  • Strong commercial, operational, and leadership expertise with excellent communication skills.
