Job Summary

The F&B and Event Service Expert contributes to all phases of food & beverage and event operations, ensuring that service feels effortless, intuitive, and uniquely W. From preparing event spaces and coordinating with the kitchen to interacting with guests, assisting with service, and maintaining impeccable presentation standards, this role ensures guests feel the signature W hospitality from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Service Delivery
- Create memorable, personalized, and stylish service experiences in alignment with the W brand ethos.
- Engage with guests confidently, warmly, and enthusiastically while anticipating their needs.
- Deliver food, beverages, event materials, and service amenities with precision and flair.
- Make service touchpoints feel seamless, professional, and part of the guest journey.
- Provide support throughout all event phases — setup, live service, breakdown, and post-event assistance.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with guests, ensuring all requests are handled promptly and positively.
Event & Dining Operations
- Assist in setting up and preparing event areas, including table layouts, décor elements, materials, and equipment.
- Coordinate with the culinary and bar teams to ensure accurate, timely, and high-quality service.
- Operate as a flexible event service expert capable of handling banquets, live stations, meetings, private events, and restaurant service.
- Maintain awareness of event timelines to deliver service that is coordinated and smooth.
- Ensure all service areas, stations, and equipment are prepared, stocked, and maintained to W brand standards.
Team Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with event planners, chefs, supervisors, and service teams to ensure every event flows effortlessly.
- Maintain positive working relationships across departments, supporting colleagues to achieve shared goals.
- Communicate guest feedback, preferences, or concerns promptly to supervisors and event managers.
- Support the creation of a high-energy, collaborative environment reflective of the W culture.
Standards, Hygiene & Safety
- Adhere strictly to all brand, company, and departmental SOPs for service quality and guest satisfaction.
- Comply with food safety norms, hygiene practices, and sanitation guidelines at all times.
- Report any equipment issues, safety hazards, or maintenance needs to management immediately.
- Maintain a polished, stylish, and professional appearance that reflects the W brand image.
- Complete all required safety and security training and certifications as mandated by Marriott International.
Physical Mobility & Operational Requirements
- Stand, walk, or move for extended periods based on business needs.
- Bend, twist, reach overhead and below the knees, and perform tasks involving active physical movement.
- Lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
- Support smooth transitions between events, restaurants, and bar service areas as needed.
- Perform additional duties assigned by Supervisors or Managers as part of ongoing operational support.
Preferred Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in F&B service, banquet operations, or hospitality service.
- Experience in luxury or lifestyle hotels is a strong advantage but not mandatory.
