Job Summary
As a Duty Manager at Novotel Chennai, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the hotel on a day-to-day basis. You will lead the front office team, maintain high standards of guest service, and coordinate with all departments to deliver a seamless and memorable guest experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily front office operations, including reception, guest services, and concierge.
- Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction, handling inquiries, feedback, and complaints promptly.
- Coordinate with housekeeping, F&B, and engineering teams for seamless hotel operations.
- Supervise check-in and check-out procedures to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Manage room inventory, occupancy, and revenue optimization.
- Conduct staff training, coaching, and performance evaluations to maintain service excellence.
- Handle VIP guests and ensure special courtesies are extended appropriately.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, brand standards, and safety regulations.
- Review and reconcile daily revenue and financial reports.
- Conduct inspections of guest rooms and public areas to maintain quality and cleanliness.
- Take charge during emergency or high-pressure situations, ensuring quick decision-making and guest safety.
- Promote upselling opportunities and support revenue-enhancing initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in hotel management or front office operations.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Property Management Systems (PMS) and hotel software.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Financial and budgeting knowledge is a plus.
- Cultural sensitivity and a guest-first approach.
