Job Summary
Fairmont Udaipur Palace is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Credit Manager to join its prestigious pre-opening team. This role is critical to maintaining the financial integrity of the hotel by evaluating creditworthiness, managing financial risk, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards.
As part of a world-renowned luxury brand, the Credit Manager will play a strategic role in shaping the financial health of one of India’s most anticipated hotel launches. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical capability, financial insight, and a structured approach to credit management. You will work closely with operational, legal, and leadership teams to streamline credit workflows and support well-informed business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Credit Evaluation & Risk Analysis
- Analyse financial statements, credit reports, market data, and customer histories to assess creditworthiness.
- Conduct detailed risk assessments and recommend appropriate credit limits, terms, and structures.
- Perform due diligence checks for new clients and continuously monitor existing portfolios.
- Prepare comprehensive credit appraisal notes for senior leaders or credit committees.
- Ensure alignment with Fairmont’s financial policies, industry norms, and regulatory guidelines.
Credit Operations
- Process and verify credit applications according to internal policies and regulatory frameworks.
- Oversee timely disbursal of approved credit and ensure accuracy in all documentation.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to maintain precise and up-to-date agreements.
- Support finance teams during audits by providing documentation and clarifications.
Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor credit accounts for early warning signals and risk indicators.
- Identify high-risk accounts and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
- Prepare and present MIS reports covering exposure, delinquencies, exceptions, and trends.
- Maintain robust documentation for audits, regulatory reviews, and internal assessments.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales, Operations, Legal, and Risk teams to streamline credit workflows.
- Support business leaders with insights that help minimize financial risks.
- Engage with clients to clarify application details and negotiate credit terms when needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. (MBA/CA/CFA preferred)
- 2–4 years of experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or financial risk assessment.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to interpret complex financial statements.
- Knowledge of credit risk, RBI/Basel regulatory guidelines, and lending frameworks.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, financial modeling, credit scoring tools, and reporting systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
