Job Summary
iTour is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Travel & Tourism Operations Manager to manage and optimize end-to-end travel operations. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth execution of bookings, itineraries, documentation, and supplier coordination while maintaining high service standards and customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in travel operations, strong coordination skills, and the ability to lead teams in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and clients to deliver seamless travel experiences across domestic and international destinations. This role is critical to maintaining operational excellence and supporting the company’s growth in the travel and tourism sector.
Key Responsibilities
As a Travel & Tourism Operations Manager, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Leading and supervising the operations team to ensure efficient handling of bookings, itineraries, and client servicing
- Planning, designing, and implementing structured workflows for travel reservations, documentation, and confirmations
- Monitoring day-to-day operations and proactively resolving escalations, service issues, and last-minute challenges
- Coordinating with suppliers such as hotels, airlines, transport providers, and Destination Management Companies (DMCs) to ensure service quality and reliability
- Ensuring timely and accurate delivery of travel documents, vouchers, tickets, and client communications
- Maintaining strong supplier relationships and addressing service gaps or operational concerns when required
- Analyzing internal operational processes and introducing improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and cost control
- Maintaining detailed and accurate records of bookings, transactions, payments, and customer feedback
- Training, guiding, and evaluating team members to improve productivity, service quality, and compliance with internal standards
- Collaborating closely with sales, product, and marketing teams to ensure operational alignment with client expectations and business goals
- Staying updated on travel regulations, visa requirements, destination policies, and industry best practices
Requirements
To be successful in this role, candidates should meet the following requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in travel operations or a similar role within the travel and tourism industry
- Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail
- Clear communication skills and experience working with internal teams and external partners
- Hands-on experience with travel booking platforms, reservation systems, and office productivity tools
- Sound knowledge of domestic and international travel logistics, documentation, and supplier networks
- Degree or diploma in Travel, Tourism, Hospitality Management, or a related field
- Willingness to work extended hours and manage operational emergencies when required
