Job Summary
As an Assistant Chief Engineer, you will oversee all maintenance operations across the hotel to ensure a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment. You’ll play a key role in maintaining equipment, managing renovation projects, and delivering an exceptional guest experience through operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and handle all maintenance activities within the hotel premises.
- Conduct daily property inspections and routine maintenance checks.
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Ensure all fixtures, fittings, and equipment are safe and functional.
- Coordinate and manage renovation projects, from cost estimation to quality control.
- Implement and monitor energy conservation programs to optimize operational efficiency.
- Develop and direct emergency and safety procedures for the property.
- Maintain strong relationships with both internal departments and external vendors.
- Lead health and safety initiatives, including monthly inspections and employee training.
- Handle special engineering projects and other assignments as required.
Requirements
- Advanced technical knowledge in building management and engineering systems.
- Positive attitude, strong communication, and leadership skills.
- Proven ability to work under pressure and independently manage complex tasks.
- Previous engineering management experience in a hotel or related facility.
- Excellent grooming and professional standards.
